Biography

I started playing violin when I was 8 in Toledo (Spain), the city where I grew up. I finished my studies some years later at "Conservatorio Superior de Música Bonifacio Gil"  in Badajoz, obtaining the degree in violin performance.

When I was a teenager, first visiting a violin making worshop to buy my first handmade violin, I realised what I wanted to become: violin maker.

After graduating  in the conservatoire, I've been lucky that I found some very kind makers that helped me and pointed me to the right direction to succeed in my dream of becoming violin maker.

I've got a place in "Newark School of Violin Making" in 2015, where I graduated four years later.

Right after that I started working in Cambridge Violin Makers, the well known violin and guitar making workshop founded in 1960 by Juliet Barker that is currently managed by Christopher Beament (her son). There, we offer violin making lessons, as well as every other typical service of a violin making workshop: new making, setup and repairs.

I'm currently working in Cambridge Violin Makers as a violin making teacher, restorer and maker.
